Online Part-time Elementary Mathematics Teacher

About the Company

Think Academy Japan is an overseas school under the TAL Group (Xueersi) (NYSE: TAL). We provide online mathematics classes designed to foster thinking skills for children aged 5 to 10. Based on 21 years of unique educational research, we offer original courses for math olympiads and junior high school entrance exams tailored to the Japanese mathematics education system.

Responsibilities

• Teach mathematics in Japanese to Japanese elementary school students using proprietary textbooks and company apps
• Participate in training and skill-enhancement events to spark student interest in math
• Prepare for lessons, create lesson plans, and optimize courses based on student feedback
• Provide individualized instruction and special support based on students' academic abilities and personalities
• Evaluate student progress through regular homework checks, tests, and exams
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student learning status

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a prestigious Japanese university (Bachelor's or Master's)
• STEM major with excellence in mathematics
• Strong interest in the education industry and a love for working with children
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with students and parents
• Native Japanese speaker; basic English or Chinese communication skills are a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching elementary school mathematics (school, organization, or private tutoring)
• Energetic, sociable personality with high comfort/presence on camera
