Operating Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Manage the operation and maintenance of Linux and Windows operating systems at L2 and L3 levels
• Plan maintenance activities including server firmware upgrades, part changes, and rack maintenance
• Support automation and task delegation to improve operational efficiency
• Analyze health, consumption, performance, and capacity reports to generate work plans
• Manage hardware and software assets, including licensing and logical resources
• Diagnose and resolve medium to high complexity incidents
• Execute non-standard changes, requirements, and platform hardening for security
• Manage alarms and respond to feasibility requests for new features or projects

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of UNIX/Linux and Windows environments
• Proficiency with operating systems such as Redhat, Windows, SUSE, and Debian
• Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware
• Knowledge of backup solutions including IDPA and Veeam Backup
• Experience with monitoring tools like Zabbix
• Proficiency with automation and scripting tools such as Ansible, The Foreman, and ELK
• Knowledge of AWS cloud services
