Patient Appointing Services Clerk

Responsibilities

• Proactively make outbound calls to schedule specialty care, preventative health visits, and surgery reminders
• Verify patient eligibility using the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS)
• Coordinate appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations
• Collaborate with Military Treatment Facilities to meet TRICARE access standards
• Handle call routing and documentation with accuracy and efficiency
• Provide secure messaging support for appointment information

Requirements

• Proof of US Citizenship
• Ability to pass a background check for security clearance
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare administration or appointment scheduling
• Knowledge of patient appointment systems or referral management
• Relevant military experience
