Payroll Specialist MA

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on time according to established schedules
• Review and verify employee time records, hours, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
• Calculate wages, deductions, taxes, and benefits
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records
• Process new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes
• Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits
• Coordinate with HR and Finance teams to resolve issues
• Prepare payroll reports and supporting documentation
• Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance requirements
• Support payroll audits
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes

Requirements

• Previous experience in payroll processing, administration, accounting, finance, or HR
• Experience with payroll software, HRIS, or accounting systems
• Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, and benefits, and compliance requirements
• Ability to meet strict payroll deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• English proficiency required
