Performance Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling for cloud, database, and end-to-end systems
• Define benchmark suites and reference workloads that reflect real customer behavior
• Establish performance baselines and regression gates across products
• Build mechanisms to turn benchmark results into actionable triage workflows and reports
• Partner with database teams to identify bottlenecks and land performance improvements
• Enable product teams to self-serve performance testing

Requirements

• Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems
• Proven experience owning benchmarking systems where reproducibility and variance control are critical
• Strong systems intuition regarding databases, storage, networking, and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to work effectively across product, infra, and database teams
• Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
