Policy & Regulatory Affairs Lead, GCC

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and implement public policy and government affairs strategies for Remitly in the GCC region
• Advance company policy positions through industry associations to enable a fintech-friendly regulatory environment
• Evaluate and report on potential regulatory risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies
• Facilitate meetings between Remitly executives and key stakeholders, including government officials and regulators
• Work collaboratively with business teams to ensure alignment between public policy goals and core business objectives
• Participate in GCC-focused trade associations and industry groups to advance thought-leadership

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in policy advocacy or government affairs with policymakers and government stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, or Economic Development
• Experience with executive stakeholder management and influencing outcomes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Arabic language skills are a bonus
