Research Director, Emergency Cash

Responsibilities

• Own the research and learning strategy for Emergency Cash Programs and frontier topics within the portfolio
• Lead impact evaluations and impact-focused research across multiple countries
• Set standards for research best practices, including data collection, quality checks, and ethics
• Define and drive prioritization for impact-focused learning questions based on the Theory of Change
• Cultivate research partnerships with individuals and institutions to advance organizational understanding
• Author and co-author research briefs, policy papers, and submissions for the development community
• Mentor staff and Research Managers to improve the design and use of strategic data sets

Requirements

• Deep expertise in research strategy and methods within the humanitarian or development sector
• Experience managing strategic research projects and high-value research partnerships
• Ability to provide intellectual leadership and technical direction to cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of designing and executing impact evaluations
• Strong ability to communicate complex research findings to non-research stakeholders
