Research Scientist III - Data Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze emergency response data to determine trends and develop solutions
• Develop preliminary findings, written reports, and data visualizations to support fire safety research
• Contribute to the development of reusable data products and standardized data models
• Apply engineering technology and systems engineering concepts to research tasks
• Plan, design, and complete tests to validate results
• Present research results internally and externally

Requirements

• Expertise in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and hypothesis testing
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data analysis libraries
• Experience designing interactive dashboards and executive-level presentations
• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Snowflake, or Dash
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field with 8+ years of experience, or a Master's with 4+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to serve as lead author on scientific reports and papers
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary research teams
