Job description

Responsibilities

  • Teach middle and high school students (grades 6-12) across general science, biology, and chemistry
  • Run live, energetic science sessions via Zoom
  • Lead in-person labs twice a week at the Abu Dhabi learning center
  • Adapt curriculum to fit real students using imagination and teaching style
  • Guide virtual labs and simulations
  • Grade and provide timely feedback using LMS tools
  • Build relationships with students and families through regular check-ins
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers in a professional learning community

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a STEM field
  • Experience teaching secondary science (general science, biology, and chemistry)
  • Comfort with virtual and in-person labs and inquiry-based teaching
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (Canvas, Schoology, or Google Classroom)
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Proficiency with video conferencing and digital whiteboards
  • Must be based in or near Abu Dhabi
  • Organized and able to work independently
