Security Automation Workflow Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SOAR playbooks, workflows, and integrations
• Translate manual cybersecurity and compliance processes into scalable automation workflows
• Develop REST API integrations between SOAR platforms and SIEM, EDR, and GRC systems
• Write and maintain Python scripts, API clients, custom connectors, and data parsers
• Configure workflow logic, triggers, error handling, and escalation paths
• Troubleshoot failed workflows, API errors, and authentication issues
• Collaborate with analysts and engineers to define automation use cases
• Maintain API documentation, workflow diagrams, and deployment procedures
• Use source control and code review processes to manage automation content
• Monitor deployed automations and continuously improve reliability

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of experience in API development, workflow automation, or security engineering
• Hands-on experience with SOAR platforms like Cortex XSOAR, Splunk SOAR, Tines, or Swimlane
• Proficiency in Python for automation and data processing
• Strong experience with REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and OAuth 2.0
• Working knowledge of incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management
• Experience with Git and structured software development practices
• Ability to obtain security clearance
