Senior AI Engineer

RegScale is a continuous controls monitoring (CCM) platform that helps organizations automate and scale their security, risk, and compliance programs. AI is central to how compliance programs are automated, monitored, and delivered at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production AI systems with ownership over reliability, performance, cost, and observability
• Build and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, cleaning, and versioning data
• Implement retrieval augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, vector and graph search systems, and hybrid retrieval strategies
• Fine tune, evaluate, and monitor models against real-world performance criteria
• Architect AI agent systems and orchestration layers for complex GRC workflows
• Build and maintain MCP servers to expose platform capabilities to AI systems
• Design reusable AI primitives and frameworks for product and integration teams
• Integrate AI capabilities into CI/CD pipelines with appropriate testing and evaluation gates
• Partner with Platform, Core Engineering, and Compliance as Code teams
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks in AI system behavior and data quality

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 4+ years focused on building and operating AI or machine learning systems in production
• Proven track record of shipping customer-dependent AI features
• Strong data engineering fundamentals including pipeline design and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with RAG, vector/graph databases, and embedding models
• Experience designing AI agent systems and orchestration frameworks
• Solid understanding of model fine tuning and evaluation
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and communication skills
• Must be a US Citizen
