Senior Analyst - Interchange

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of Visa’s CEMEA Interchange Reimbursement Fee (IRF) frameworks through financial modeling and economics analysis.
• Design and evaluate market-specific IRF models to balance issuer and acquirer economics with network growth.
• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate proposed interchange rate changes and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare executive summaries, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership regarding interchange performance.
• Drive the adoption of AI and automation across interchange workflows, including IRF simulations and anomaly detection.
• Monitor regulatory developments and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in payments, card networks, acquiring, or issuing with exposure to interchange.
• Strong understanding of payment card economics, including interchange mechanics and the four-party model.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, scenario analysis, and pivot tables.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlikview.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets and translate findings into business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Direct experience in interchange, pricing, or network economics roles.
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, or R for data analysis and automation.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing interchange.
• Understanding of emerging payment trends like digital wallets, BNPL, and instant payments.
