Senior Backend Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services for the Travel Rule product
• Build and maintain integrations with multiple third-party providers and APIs
• Work with asynchronous, event-driven architectures
• Ensure high reliability, fault tolerance, and observability of distributed services
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to evolve the platform
• Take ownership of backend components from design through production

Requirements

• Strong backend engineering experience with Java or similar languages
• Solid foundation in system design
• Experience building and maintaining integrations with external systems and third-party APIs
• Proficiency with asynchronous processing and distributed systems
• Understanding of databases such as MongoDB, ClickHouse, or similar
• Knowledge of data consistency trade-offs

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with crypto and blockchain fundamentals
• Understanding of how crypto networks and wallets operate
