Responsibilities

• Advise on federal and state healthcare regulatory matters affecting virtual care, clinicians, and patients
• Monitor requirements involving telehealth, physician licensing, scope of practice, and pharmacy operations
• Support regulatory analysis relating to medications, supplements, and marketing claims
• Advise on HIPAA, state health privacy laws, and consumer privacy laws
• Review and negotiate business associate agreements and data processing agreements
• Partner with People leaders on employment agreements, workplace policies, and multistate workforce requirements
• Build and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and risk assessments
• Serve as a legal partner to Clinical, Operations, Product, Marketing, and Executive teams

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar
• 8+ years of practicing legal experience
• Substantive healthcare regulatory and privacy experience (including HIPAA)
• Experience in-house at a digital health/healthcare company or at a major law firm
• Experience supporting multistate or remote clinical/employee workforces
• Proficiency using artificial intelligence tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in women's health, virtual care, or menopause care
• Familiarity with FDA, DEA, FTC, OCR, or state medical/nursing boards
• Track record of building compliance programs and legal playbooks from the ground up
