Senior Data Architect/Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures and semantic layers to drive business intelligence
• Translate executive business questions into trustworthy, fast, and self-serve data products
• Optimize SQL queries and data models to ensure high-performance reporting
• Build robust data reconciliation processes, schema contracts, and integrity tests to ensure absolute data accuracy
• Create comprehensive documentation, including column-level data dictionaries and runbooks
• Develop strategies for scalable data solutions and processes

Requirements

• Advanced expertise in Databricks and BigQuery
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB
• Proven experience designing and implementing a semantic layer from scratch in a production environment
• Expert-level SQL query optimization skills
• Deep understanding of business metrics such as MRR, churn cohorts, and customer funnels
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English
• A scalable mindset with the ability to take full responsibility for data products and initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience shipping LLM-based agents, such as text-to-SQL or semantic-layer-backed Q&A tools
• Experience with tool-calling frameworks and guardrails for AI-generated metrics
• An MBA or 2+ years in a BizOps-adjacent role alongside an engineering background
