Senior Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and auditable Data Lakes and Lakehouses
• Act at the frontier between Software Engineering and Data Architecture
• Transform complex product requirements into resilient platforms using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Ensure high-quality, low-latency behavioral data flow with total compliance
• Implement data cataloging, lineage, granular access control, and auditing
• Build high-performance data collection pipelines, microservices, and APIs
• Manage streaming and messaging systems
• Optimize queries, partitioning, and storage costs

Requirements

• Solid experience in Data Lake/Lakehouse design (Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, or Apache Hudi)
• Knowledge of Lambda and Kappa architectures
• Proficiency in Python for pipeline and microservices development
• Mastery of streaming and messaging (Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or RabbitMQ)
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Kubernetes
• Deep knowledge of data formats like Parquet and Avro

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience with Data Mesh and Data Contracts
• Knowledge of A/B testing infrastructure
• Basic understanding of web/mobile applications for technical support in tag and event triggering
