Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain machine learning models for predictive, classification and optimization use cases aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead model training, hyperparameter tuning, evaluation and experiment tracking to ensure reproducibility and performance comparability.
  • Engineer and select features using statistical and domain knowledge to improve model outcomes.
  • Implement monitoring for model performance and data drift; define retraining triggers and schedules in collaboration with MLOps and platform teams.
  • Ensure fairness and bias mitigation across models; perform subgroup audits and bias checks.
  • Integrate models into production pipelines working closely with Data Engineers, MLOps and Product Managers; document and version models and experiments.
  • Apply generative AI and NLP techniques (LLM fine-tuning, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation) for conversational and text use cases.
  • Quantify model value by linking outputs to business KPIs (time saved, accuracy improvements, revenue impact).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in retail or e-commerce analytics and customer-facing ML products.
  • Production ML deployment experience with containerization and CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with fairness frameworks and bias mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with large-scale data, time-series modelling and experimentation frameworks.
