Senior DevOps Engineer

At WASSHA, we light up peoples lives. We aim to help the truly disadvantaged and challenged groups of our society by providing them with affordable options for lighting. Our service consists of custom-built third party hardware, in-house systems and third party APIs.

Responsibilities

• Grow, improve, and maintain infrastructure and automation underlying existing services
• Develop new infrastructure capabilities for the organization
• Port existing legacy services to a new Kubernetes cluster in a new organization account
• Configure infrastructure using Terraform
• Create Terraform modules and standardized processes for CI/CD and project setup
• Own and operate a multi-account organization in AWS with workloads on EKS
• Collaborate with engineering peers and contribute to a positive engineering culture

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer
• Proficiency with AWS, containers, Kubernetes, Bazel, and Terraform
• Familiarity with RDS and other database technologies
• Understanding of SRE principles and practical application
• Experience managing services end-to-end (development to monitoring and incident support)
• Ability to work in an agile, cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
• Fluency in Japanese
• Fluency in Swahili, French, or Portuguese
• Experience in project or product management
