Senior DS Engineer Travel

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to modernize network design and implementation for Air Force and Space Force bases
• Conduct end-to-end testing of fiber optic cables using OTDR and power meters
• Lead small implementation teams and manage specific work scopes at site locations
• Coordinate with Government Points of Contact for design, installation, and base access
• Update network as-built documentation and records based on splicing and testing results
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced field engineers

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• 5+ years of experience in Distribution Systems Engineering
• Active Secret Level Security Clearance
• Familiarity with ISP/OSP design and implementation documents
• Thorough understanding of wired and general IT functions
• Ability to travel 75%-100% to Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using MS Visio or related CAD tools
• BICSI related certifications
