Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor to the People team across the full employment lifecycle
• Provide expert guidance on hiring, performance management, terminations, and accommodations
• Manage all employment disputes, including pre-litigation claims, administrative charges, and litigation strategy
• Oversee internal investigations and advise on employment law compliance for a multistate workforce
• Engage with adjacent legal areas such as privacy, ERISA, and commercial contracting as business needs evolve
• Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to enhance research, drafting, and analysis

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of dedicated employment law experience
• In-house counsel experience
• Strong background in California employment law
• Experience managing employment litigation
• Fluency with AI tools for legal research and drafting
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
