Senior Engineer – Transmission and Distribution

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering and design of transmission and distribution line projects using PLS-CADD modeling and analysis
• Develop and review transmission line layouts, structure loading, sag-tension calculations, and clearance analyses
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor for engineers and designers, providing guidance and QA/QC
• Coordinate with internal disciplines including substation, civil, environmental, and right-of-way
• Interface with clients, utilities, and stakeholders to define project scope, schedule, and technical approach
• Review and stamp engineering deliverables as appropriate
• Participate in field visits, constructability reviews, and construction support
• Contribute to process improvement and standards development within the group

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of progressive experience in transmission and/or distribution line engineering
• Advanced proficiency in PLS CADD
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience with utility clients and industry standards
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PLS POLE and PLS TOWER
