Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and mentor a globally distributed team of database internals engineers
• Own hiring, performance management, career development, and team health
• Own team execution and set the technical roadmap with Product
• Partner closely with the Platform Engineering team to build a world-class experience on Tiger Cloud
• Engage with high-value customers on escalations and translate needs into priorities

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering experience
• 4+ years managing engineers or engineering teams
• Track record of leading teams that ship industrial-strength systems software
• Strong technical depth in distributed systems or databases
• Solid knowledge of SQL, query processing, database engines, concurrency control, or data replication

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C/C++ on large code bases
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL internals
• Experience with distributed systems
