Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the Broker API Dashboard to empower financial partners and manage large-scale trading operations.
• Take ownership of high-visibility, high-impact initiatives with autonomy and accountability.
• Build features end-to-end across the full spectrum of Alpaca’s infrastructure.
• Drive architectural design conversations to shape scalable, intuitive, and reliable systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate stakeholder requirements into realized features.
• Mentor other developers and contribute to the company's overall technical strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
• Proficiency in at least one modern systems programming language, such as Golang or C#.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS frameworks (e.g., TailwindCSS).
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Expertise with REST APIs and industry best practices.
• Proven track record of building and delivering user-facing features end-to-end.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with major cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of financial markets or professional/personal algorithmic trading experience.
• Experience working in a startup or remote environment.
• Experience building mobile applications with React Native.
