Senior GEN Consultant

Responsibilities

• Lead Gen consulting engagements with enterprise clients
• Analyse existing legacy applications and recommend modernisation strategies
• Support application re-platforming and system re-architecture initiatives
• Install, configure, upgrade and optimise CA Gen environments
• Design and develop solutions using CA Gen
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve application performance
• Work closely with customers to understand business requirements and propose technical solutions
• Deliver projects within agreed scope, budget and timelines
• Produce proof of concepts and technical prototypes
• Contribute to technical proposals, solution designs and client presentations
• Mentor junior consultants where required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Strong commercial experience with CA Gen
• Experience installing, configuring and upgrading Gen environments
• Understanding of Application Development, CBD, Batch Processing, and Relational Databases
• Experience delivering application modernisation or legacy transformation projects
• Experience with application re-platforming
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers

Preferred Qualifications

• COBOL
• IBM Mainframe technologies (ISPF, JCL, SPUFI, SCLM)
• Java, .NET, Spring Boot, or Angular
• Cloud platforms
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
