Senior Legal Commercial Counsel

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including supplier contracts, service agreements, and strategic partnerships
• Provide practical legal advice to stakeholders across commercial, operations, clinical, and technology teams
• Partner with teams on new projects to identify legal and regulatory considerations
• Support compliance with UK legal frameworks including contract law, advertising, healthcare regulation, and data protection
• Support digital platform developments and international contracting across Europe
• Develop practical training for non-legal teams on contracting and regulatory requirements
• Improve legal systems including contract lifecycle management and electronic signatures
• Explore responsible use of technology and AI for legal research and drafting

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales or CILEX lawyer
• 4 - 8 years' PQE
• Strong commercial contracts experience in private practice or in-house
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Pragmatic and commercially aware approach to risk management
• Strong communication skills to translate complex legal issues for non-legal colleagues

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within healthcare, life sciences, digital health, or pharmacy
• Experience within a start-up or scale-up environment
• Experience with international contracts across Europe
• Fluency in German
