Senior Manager - Model Audit

Responsibilities

Operations:

• Manage a portfolio of active assignments.
• Lead model audit assignments ensuring models are arithmetically and commercially correct.
• Use a combination of software checks and parallel model development to identify errors.
• Review and interpret commercial documentation and ensure it is reflected accurately in financial models.
• Take ownership of specific assignments and projects, driving high-quality outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial modeling methodologies and tools.
• Prepare comprehensive model documentation detailing assumptions, methodologies, and results.
• Maintain meticulous records of modeling processes and methodologies.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure effective project delivery.

People:

• Lead a team of model audit professionals.
• Train, motivate, and manage junior team members on assignments.
• Collaborate closely with team members and contribute to assignments.
• Communicate model findings and insights to clients and internal teams.
• Simplify complex financial model issues for non-technical stakeholders.

Growth:

• Support business development and sector growth ambitions.
• Lead the development of client pitches.
• Lead client calls and build relationships.

Requirements

• 6-8 years relevant experience in financial roles within advisory practices or large corporates
• Appreciation of accounting concepts; accounting qualification is a plus
• Strong knowledge of Project Finance concepts
• Analytical skills with proven Excel modeling experience
• Degree in a numerate discipline; postgrad in accounting/finance is beneficial
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team

Preferred Qualifications

• Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent)
• Experience with the FAST Financial Modeling Standard
• Postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance
