Senior Manager, Payments Risk

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of risk platforms including Sift and Plaid Signal, managing rules, models, and thresholds
• Design and implement identity and fraud controls to block fraudulent users while minimizing friction for good users
• Own metrics related to loss, returns, and fraud reduction and report progress
• Lead cross-functional risk-related initiatives with ACH Operations
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to drive risk-reduction projects and ship controls

Requirements

• 5+ years in payments risk or fraud with demonstrated ownership of loss and fraud outcomes
• Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience working directly against a data warehouse
• Experience as a player-coach, managing analysts while remaining a hands-on individual contributor
• Experience using LLMs and modern tooling to accelerate investigation and analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience leading a payments risk or fraud team at a fintech or payments company
• Experience at a fintech operating an ACH product
