About the Company

At LeoLabs, we're building the living map of activity in space. Through our proprietary global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform, we collect millions of measurements daily on more than 25,000 objects in low Earth orbit (LEO). Our radar-powered intelligence protects billions in assets, monitors adversarial behavior, and ensures safe operations for commercial and government missions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software supporting radar data collection, processing, analysis, and operational deployment
  • Develop interfaces and services supporting sensor operations, telemetry, data management, and mission execution
  • Develop scalable and reliable software solutions for radar control, monitoring, automation, and performance optimization
  • Collaborate with radar systems, signal processing, infrastructure, and operations teams to integrate new capabilities
  • Support software architecture development and technical design reviews
  • Participate in system integration, verification, validation, and field testing activities
  • Troubleshoot operational issues and support root-cause analysis for software and system anomalies
  • Contribute to software development best practices, code reviews, and technical documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong programming experience in Python, C++, or similar languages
  • Experience designing and developing distributed systems, APIs, and data-intensive applications
  • Experience with Linux-based development environments
  • Familiarity with software testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Personnel Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with radar systems, RF systems, signal processing, or sensor data processing applications
  • Experience supporting U.S. Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or Space Force programs
  • Experience working with bare-metal systems
  • Familiarity working in constrained compute environments
  • Experience working with large-scale telemetry, tracking, or real-time data processing systems
  • Active U.S. Secret or Top Secret Personnel Security Clearance
  • Experience supporting classified programs and secure computing environments
