Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Drive exceptional sales growth by meeting and exceeding assigned quarterly and annual quotas
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives (AEs)
  • Provide day-to-day deal support and guidance to AEs
  • Source, interview, and recruit top sales talent in coordination with recruiting and sales leaders
  • Own and drive accurate AE KPI reporting in Salesforce; provide attainment forecast guidance to sales management weekly
  • Help define ideal AE profiles for the region
  • Assist in the on-boarding and ramping up of AEs
  • Develop and iterate on best practices/programs aimed at accelerating revenue growth, product attach rates, and other company goals
  • Define and implement optimal Sales Go-To-Market coverage (vertical, geo-based etc.)
  • Drive channel relationships to accelerate channel business
  • Foster executive relationships between customers/partners and Cloudflare within key accounts
  • Lead efficient business cadence covering forecast calls, pipeline, deal reviews, and account plans
  • Lead quarterly business reviews reporting on overall health of the business in your region
  • Set best practices for data-driven sales and account growth
  • Document functional best practices and assist Sales Enablement in developing AE playbooks
  • Collaborate with global/regional management and other sales supporting functions to grow brand awareness and revenues
  • Build relationships with key industry organizations in the region

Requirements

  • Minimum 20 years of overall sales experience, with at least 10 years focused on Sub-Saharan Africa across market segments
  • 5+ years experience managing quota-carrying sales reps, with a proven track record in complex solution selling in Sub-Saharan Africa (preferably SaaS/Cloud/Cybersecurity)
  • Experience managing high volume, high velocity sales pipelines
  • Proven skills in developing Go-To-Market strategies in fast-paced environments
  • Outstanding presentation and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Established relationships within Cybersecurity and SaaS/Cloud community in Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Hands-on leadership balancing strategic vision and tactical execution
  • Well regarded market reputation with strong related connections
  • Experience with Salesforce and other BI/reporting tools
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to work in diverse and multicultural workplaces
  • Aptitude to learn new technical concepts
  • Fluency in English (French is plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA or MIS a plus
