Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage firewall policies across Palo Alto and Checkpoint (Cloud) virtual firewalls
• Configure and optimize firewall rules to meet business and security requirements
• Configure and manage Prisma Access for secure remote access and cloud-delivered security services
• Utilize Strata Cloud Manager and Palo Alto Networks Panorama for centralized management
• Process and implement firewall change requests following change control procedures
• Troubleshoot firewall connectivity and policy issues
• Collaborate with network and security teams on firewall-related projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of Network Security experience
• Expert level Palo Alto and Checkpoint (Cloud) firewall configuration/engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Prisma Access configuration and deployment
• Experience with Palo Alto Networks Panorama
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA) or higher
• Strong Routing and Switching knowledge
• Experience managing large firewall deployments (50+ firewalls)
• Experience with Splunk for log analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• Strata Cloud Manager experience
• FireMon Security Manager experience
• Tufin or similar firewall automation experience
• Azure Networking experience
• Experience with Terraform or Palo Alto Networks Automation API
• Experience with firewall rule optimization and cleanup projects
