Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for DDoS and Firewall technologies for Help AG customers.
• Design, deploy, operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot complex IP networks and interconnected network security technologies.
• Provide timely responses to all incidents, outages, and performance alerts.
• Take responsibility for handling escalated incidents and consulting with other technology support groups for problem resolution.
• Create procedures, implement process development, and maintain security systems for both internal and client environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of demonstrable industry experience in Network Operations or Security Operations.
• Expert and in-depth knowledge of complex IP networks and network security technologies.
• Extensive experience with Firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper) and IPS.
• Proficiency with Arbor Peakflow and Arbor APS/AED.
• Solid understanding of data center traffic flow, network vulnerabilities, and attack patterns.
• Understanding of ITIL frameworks, including change, problem, and incident management.
• Experience working in high-pressure, customer-facing environments with strict SLAs.
• Familiarity with security controls such as Antimalware, 2FA, Sandboxing, and VPNs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with F5 (LTM).
• Relevant technical certifications from vendors such as Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or NetScout/Arbor.
