Senior Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure secure data gathering, processing and management
• Analyze SQL statements and identify potential performance issues for optimized database operations
• Design secure network architectures, conduct penetration testing, and manage security tools like SIEM and IDS/IPS
• Integrate security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps) in collaboration with DevOps, IT, and software teams
• Implement and uphold cloud data security technologies and best practices
• Regularly report progress and security concerns to the Head of Security Engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, IT, Engineering, or equivalent
• 6 years of technical experience or 4 years in IT Solutions at senior management
• Mandatory CISSP certification with ISSEP concentration
• PMP certification
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification
• 10 years of enterprise experience in IT/technology, with the last 5 years on large government technical contracts/BPAs
• Proficiency in SQL, network protocols, Linux/Windows, and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Scripting/programming skills in Python or Bash
