Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship backend services, workflows, and integrations for clinical charting, scheduling, and task management
• Own features end to end from product shaping through implementation, testing, and production operation
• Work within a mature Ruby on Rails monolith and supporting services
• Build and maintain integrations with clinical and operational systems, including EHR
• Practice small-batch, continuous delivery using feature flags and tight feedback loops
• Utilize agentic, AI-native development tools like Claude Code in daily workflows
• Write well-tested, observable, and maintainable code using Datadog for instrumentation
• Ensure systems operate safely within HIPAA and healthcare regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production software
• Strong proficiency in a modern backend stack (Ruby on Rails experience is a plus)
• Proven track record of owning features end to end and making pragmatic architectural decisions
• Experience with small-batch continuous delivery, automated testing, and feature flags
• Comfort with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and observability (Datadog)
• Experience integrating with third-party systems and APIs
• Fluency with or enthusiasm for agentic AI-native development tools
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with product and clinical partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, clinical systems, or workflow tooling
• Experience in regulated domains or with AI-enabled products
