Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead backend development, building and maintaining server-side logic
• Take real ownership of services, including deployment, operation, and production health
• Work with CloudEng to maintain production environments using OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Prometheus, and Grafana
• Participate in on-call and off-hours support rotations to resolve production issues
• Partner with frontend, product, and UX teams to align on API design and data contracts
• Participate in code, security, and privacy reviews to maintain high standards

Requirements

• 4+ years of software development experience with a focus on backend technologies
• Professional experience with Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Rust
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and SQL query optimization
• Hands-on DevOps experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Docker
• Experience with observability tools like Sentry and Grafana
• Proven track record of owning services end-to-end in production
• Experience mentoring junior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance and load testing
• Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes
• Open-source contributions or personal engineering projects
• Experience with Django
