Senior Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical customer advocate, designing fit-for-purpose solutions for Digital Native Businesses
• Drive technical wins by ensuring maximal business value and efficient adoption roadmaps
• Partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to create scalable solutions
• Explain complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms to help customers realize the full promise of Cloudflare
• Manage projects, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines effectively

Requirements

• 3-10 years of experience in the IT industry
• Strong understanding of "how the internet works," including TCP/UDP and DNS (authoritative vs. recursive)
• Solid knowledge of HTTP and TLS/SSL
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Oracle, or Microsoft
• Knowledge of DDoS, CDN, Performance, or Zero Trust/SASE service providers
• Ability to manage projects and work toward strict deadlines
• Fluent written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a pre-sales Solutions Engineering or consulting role
• Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash
• Exposure to emerging security trends, specifically Zero Trust architectures
