Senior/Staff Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Turn complex product, customer, and risk data into clear insights, decision frameworks, and durable measurement systems
• Own end-to-end execution across analysis, metrics definition, experimentation, forecasting, and visualization
• Define and maintain measurement frameworks for products, including customer eligibility, repayment behavior, and loss performance
• Partner with Machine Learning Engineers to evaluate model performance, monitor cohorts, and identify bias or drift
• Design and analyze experiments, rollouts, and policy changes
• Lead technical direction and standards by creating reusable frameworks and scalable tooling
• Communicate insights clearly to technical, product, and business stakeholders

Requirements

• 4+ years applying AI, machine learning, or statistical modeling in decisioning contexts (credit, risk, fraud, or recommendations)
• Master's degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or Operations Research); PhD welcomed
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and Python
• Experience building decision-oriented data visualizations
• Strong product, analytical, and statistical judgment
• Experience using AI tools to improve analytical work

Preferred Qualifications

• Fintech background
• Consumer finance experience in a non-large bank environment
• Experience with advanced modeling techniques
• Background in small to medium-sized companies
