Responsibilities

• Build secure, stable, and elegant backend systems and web services
• Make architectural decisions for expanding existing projects and implementing new systems
• Review team members' work and provide constructive feedback
• Mentor other engineers and communicate complex technical requirements
• Treat security concerns as first-class citizens, protecting against risks like XSS and SQL Injection
• Participate in the team's on-call rotation as needed
• Integrate LLMs and AI-driven development agents into the SDLC to accelerate engineering velocity

Requirements

• 7+ years of full-time programming experience in a team environment
• Proficiency in server-side web technologies (Unix/Linux, Golang, PHP, MySQL, or MongoDB)
• Experience with AWS or similar hosting providers
• Strong networking and network security proficiency
• Experience writing technical documentation and proposals
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Microservice architecture, NGINX, Redis, and PHP
• Knowledge of OAuth2, Authentication protocols, and CI/CD
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and agent orchestration
• Understanding of AI-native development patterns and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Familiarity with Agile principles and Scrum
• Knowledge of data security best practices (PCI/DSS/CISP/SOC2)
