Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deliver new technology capabilities for the Equity Portfolio Management team
• Design, develop, upgrade, document, and test multiple application services
• Build or implement technologies to meet business needs using industry standard tools
• Maintain high standards of software quality and establish good practices
• Assist in the development of user stories, estimates, and work plans
• Prepare reports, manuals, and documentation on software status and maintenance
• Advise business clients and IT management on technology capabilities and strategies
• Provide third-level support for local and remote investment business clients

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Software Developer
• Proficiency in Python, Django, Angular, C# Microsoft .NET 3.5+, PostgreSQL, Transact SQL, and Javascript
• Understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development
• Experience with automated acceptance testing
• Ability to write unit-tested, maintainable code
• Familiarity with SOLID coding principles
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Domain Driven Design
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or XP)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with CQRS and Event Sourcing Architectures
• Background in financial systems design and development
