Specialist Cathodic Protection Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for all aspects of Cathodic Protection (CP) systems during the EPC execution phase, including design, installation, and commissioning
• Review and approve project deliverables such as design documents, material datasheets, FAT, construction documentation, and commissioning procedures
• Supervise site work during critical installation phases and maintain a supervisory presence during pre-commissioning and handover
• Interface with Integrity Project teams to ensure CP designs support long-term asset integrity and corrosion control strategies
• Collaborate with interface management to resolve conflicts between CP systems and other disciplines like electrical, civil, and mechanical
• Provide technical solutions for design changes, site issues, or unexpected corrosion challenges
• Review and validate contractor QA/QC documentation, test reports, and Request for Inspection (RFI)
• Ensure all CP activities comply with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry standards such as AMPP, ISO, and DNV

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Corrosion Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in Cathodic Protection systems within the Oil & Gas industry
• At least 10 years of experience in a senior engineering capacity acting as a Technical Authority for CP systems (Well Casing, Pipelines, Plant Piping, Storage Tanks, etc.)
• AMPP NACE Level III Certification or an equivalent professional credential
• Full proficiency and conversance with AMPP and ISO Standards for Cathodic Protection Systems
