Specialist Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients referred to the hospital
• Diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety, and substance abuse
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating medication, psychotherapy, and other interventions
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care
• Participate in community mental health initiatives and educational programs
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records according to hospital and legal standards
• Stay abreast of current developments in psychiatry and apply evidence-based practices

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably within government healthcare
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities
• Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work under the policies and protocols of a government healthcare institution
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical medical practice
