Tech Lead (Backend)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical reference and manage the team (technical leadership + people management)
• Lead the modernization of the legacy Python 2.7 system toward a microservices architecture
• Ensure platform reliability, observability, and security
• Manage high event throughput and load balancing while maintaining processing SLAs
• Oversee the discontinuation of legacy services and client migration to the proprietary API
• Prioritize tasks effectively amidst high volume and multiple stakeholders
• Maintain direct technical communication with product teams and clients

Requirements

• Solid experience with Python
• Current experience applying AI to development
• Experience with databases
• DevOps knowledge including GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Understanding of security contexts (e.g., pentesting)
• Experience with monoliths, microservices, and large-scale legacy systems
• Proven experience in both technical leadership and people management
• Strong communication skills with technical and product stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go
• Consolidated prior experience as a technical reference and people manager
