Technical Translator

Responsibilities

• Translate technical documentation from English and/or Italian into Hungarian
• Perform Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) to optimize text quality
• Ensure target text accurately reflects the meaning and nuance of the source material
• Maintain high grammatical accuracy, correct terminology, and cultural relevance
• Follow specific project instructions, including the use of translation memories, glossaries, and style guides
• Manage formatting, tagging, punctuation, and country-specific requirements

Requirements

• Native Hungarian speaker
• Degree in Translation, Applied Linguistics, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven experience in Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE)
• Excellent command of the Italian language (both comprehension and writing)
• Proficiency with CAT tools and general IT skills
• Experience in technical translation and proofreading is highly preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
