Responsibilities

• Support the AVP of Underwriting in the production, selection, pricing, control, and servicing of insurance policies
• Assist in developing and maintaining a scalable and repeatable underwriting process using Indigo’s model
• Support the development and application of underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures to select and control risk
• Analyze, evaluate, and make underwriting decisions in line with guidelines and recommendations
• Manage and evaluate new business submissions, renewals, and policy change requests
• Review, evaluate, and report on loss activity
• Collaborate with Sales to build, strengthen, and manage relationships with agents and brokers
• Provide high levels of accuracy and support to the Underwriting Team throughout the policy lifecycle

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as an Underwriter in Medical Professional Liability Insurance
• Ability to operate with urgency and meet processing deadlines
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and Patient Compensation Fund (PCF) rules

Preferred Qualifications

• Production Underwriting experience
