Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of the 'Aligning K12 Education and Youth Development' issue area
  • Identify, design, and execute collective action initiatives
  • Manage 75+ member organizations and drive community growth and retention
  • Understand member needs to inform new program design and engagement strategies
  • Lead logistical and strategic planning for annual member convenings
  • Identify, vet, and prioritize new ideas for collective action
  • Design comprehensive initiatives including theory of action, budgets, and operating plans
  • Secure funding for initiatives and manage relationships with funders
  • Manage the launch and implementation of 3-5 large-scale initiatives at a time

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior leadership experience in national nonprofit organizations or school systems
  • Deep knowledge of the K12 education and youth development field, including funders and policy landscape
  • Robust network of experts, operators, and funders in the sector
  • Extensive experience in program design, continuous improvement, and evaluation
  • Proven track record in fundraising and sustaining funding relationships
  • Experience facilitating convenings with senior-level leaders
  • Strong ability to set vision and inspire top-level sector leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
