Virtual General Education Teacher

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor for the assigned teaching area
• Deliver effective live lessons via web conference using research-based instructional practices
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide daily feedback and grading
• Complete course setup within the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Communicate regularly with families regarding academic and social-emotional growth
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons

Requirements

• Current state teaching license in the appropriate content area
• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Outlook
• Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks
• High quality written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two years of teaching experience
• Experience working in a multi-cultural setting
