Responsibilities

• Work closely with ABA and behavioral health providers to collect patient information and communicate authorization decisions
• Verify patient eligibility and benefits with insurers via portals or phone calls
• Complete prior authorizations expediently and follow up to ensure timely approval
• Manage multiple prior authorizations simultaneously and develop efficient processes
• Understand ABA-specific workflows, including treatment plans and re-authorizations
• Act as a subject matter expert in behavioral health prior authorization for large insurers
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to share learnings for process automation

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience completing prior authorizations for ABA or behavioral health services
• Strong understanding of insurance benefits including deductibles, co-insurance, and exclusions
• Experience using payor portals and communicating with insurers via phone
• Ability to work 40 hours per week
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR/EHR) such as CentralReach or Rethink
