Job description

Responsibilities

  • Drive assigned account growth by prospecting, developing, and closing new business while expanding relationships with existing accounts
  • Serve as the primary relationship owner for healthcare providers, including physicians, genetic counselors, and staff
  • Proactively identify risks to customer satisfaction, adoption, or retention and coordinate cross-functional action plans
  • Analyze account utilization trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for expanded testing adoption and revenue growth
  • Deliver tailored, consultative sales presentations to communicate the value of GeneDx’s solutions and services
  • Coordinate and execute both in-person and virtual client meetings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
  • Lead business reviews with key stakeholders to evaluate account performance and strengthen strategic partnerships
  • Lead educational efforts including in-office appointments, regional conferences, and physician engagement initiatives
  • Maintain high field presence, with an expectation of 4.5 days per week spent in the field with clients
  • Document customer opportunities and interactions in CRM

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3+ years of healthcare sales experience or 2+ years as a genetic counselor
  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing roles (account management, client success, or sales)
  • Proven ability to solve complex, cross-functional customer challenges
  • Strong relationship development and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent listening, problem-solving, and communication abilities
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM tools preferred
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to travel for in-person client meetings, including occasional evenings, weekends, and overnights
