Responsibilities

• Work in close partnership with the Controller to strengthen the month-end processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to support timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, proactively identify discrepancies, and ensure integrity of financial reporting
• Support regulatory reporting requirements including surveys, franchise taxes, and annual reports
• Serve as a point of contact for employee and vendor inquiries
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects
• Review, code, and process vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and corporate card transactions
• Maintain and update vendor records, accounts payable inbox, and the Company Finance calendar

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience with payroll processing and accounts payable workflows
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet recurring deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA candidate or bachelor's degree in Accounting
