Job description
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable using QuickBooks
- Receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers; reconcile bank account statements
- Handle payroll, make purchases, prepare invoices, and track overdue accounts
- Produce profit and loss statements, financial statements, and balance sheets
- Keep management informed through presentations and reports
- Check figures and reports frequently to prevent fraud and inaccuracy
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an accounting or bookkeeping clerk
- High school diploma required; accounting coursework preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and best practices
