Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable using QuickBooks
  • Receive and record cash, checks, and vouchers; reconcile bank account statements
  • Handle payroll, make purchases, prepare invoices, and track overdue accounts
  • Produce profit and loss statements, financial statements, and balance sheets
  • Keep management informed through presentations and reports
  • Check figures and reports frequently to prevent fraud and inaccuracy

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience as an accounting or bookkeeping clerk
  • High school diploma required; accounting coursework preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures and best practices
