Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage cash flow, banking activity, and organizational deposits
• Oversee month-end, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes in accordance with US GAAP
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements including income statements and balance sheets
• Supervise accounts payable, corporate credit card programs, and expense management
• Reconcile provider compensation, productivity-based payments, and bonuses
• Manage vendor tax compliance, including W-9 maintenance and 1099 issuance
• Facilitate annual budgeting and monthly budget-vs-actual variance reporting
• Develop financial reporting dashboards and build financial models for new services or hires
• Reconcile revenue cycle activity, insurance reimbursements, and clearinghouse deposits
• Optimize financial workflows and technology stacks to automate manual processes
• Manage and mentor the Accounting Coordinator

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
• 5+ years of progressive operational accounting and general ledger management experience
• Expertise in US GAAP and accrual accounting principles
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-site clinical operations preferred
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• High proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, financial modeling)
• Experience with FP&A and departmental budgeting
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CMA certification (or active pursuit of certification)
• Experience with EHR platforms and project management software like Monday.com
